OUR STORY

Natural Steaming Mud

Bethel Church's building in Dunrobin Street was started in 1932 by members of the congregation. In the 1980s, Bethel joined Assemblies of God (Great Britain) with Terry Barlow as the Pastor. In the late 1980s, Anthony Woodall, the next minister, started an extension that gave the building approximately 50% more capacity. In 1995, Trevor Mills was appointed as the new minister, transitioning the church into its next season, and Peter and Judith Woodall took over the leadership in June 2000. Bethel continued to be active in the local community, and in 2012, it became one of the first distribution centres for Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank.

At Bethel you'll find a relaxing family environment where everyone is encouraged to come 'just as they are'. We want to show God's love in a practical way and would love for you to come and join us at any of our weekly events, which include: -Sunday service at 11am followed by tea, coffee, cakes - a time to talk and pray. -Wednesday 10am to 12 noon Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank distribution centre and Stoke-on-Trent City Council Community Lounge. -Thursday 'Light Lunch' served between 11.30am and 2pm - 3-course hot meal with a choice from the menu for £5.00. For special events check our website or join us on Facebook and  Instagram. Why not visit our charity shop in Longton town centre. Open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4.30pm.
